These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the FontKit website, a service that allows users to explore Google Fonts, preview typefaces, generate HTML and CSS snippets, and organize their favorite fonts into private collections.

The service is operated by FontKit. For questions or notices, please contact us at fontkit@hotmail.com.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing the site or using the available services, the user declares to have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions as well as the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
If the user does not wish to accept these terms, they must stop browsing and refrain from using the service.
Description of the service
FontKit provides online tools for browsing the Google Fonts catalog, creating and organizing collections, assigning tags, generating ready-to-use HTML and CSS snippets, and sharing via public read-only links.
The service may include features accessible without authentication and features reserved for users authenticated via a Google account.
Access requirements and account
To access certain features of the service, login via Google Sign-In or services linked to Firebase Authentication may be required.
The user is responsible for the accuracy of the data used to authenticate and for the security of their Google account or any credentials associated with the service.
The user agrees not to allow unauthorized access to their account and to promptly notify the service operator in the event of suspected misuse, loss of account control, or a security breach.
Cookies and analytics
FontKit uses technical cookies necessary for the operation of the service, and optional statistical cookies (Google Analytics 4) to understand how visitors interact with the site. Statistical cookies are only activated after the user has given explicit consent through the cookie preference banner.
The user may manage, modify, or withdraw cookie consent at any time by clicking the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Full details on the cookies used, their purposes, and the third parties involved are available in the Cookie Policy.
Permitted use
The user agrees to use FontKit in a lawful, proper manner consistent with these terms, applicable law, and any third-party rights.
The following are prohibited, by way of example:
- using the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or rights-infringing activities;
- attempting to circumvent security measures, authentication, or technical restrictions of the site;
- interfering with the operation of the platform, its servers, or connected networks;
- uploading, sharing, or distributing content that infringes intellectual property rights, mandatory rules, or third-party rights;
- using automated tools in a way that compromises the stability, performance, or security of the service.
Intellectual property
The FontKit platform, including its design, code, and original content, is the property of its operator and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Fonts made available through the Google Fonts API are subject to their respective open-source licenses (typically SIL Open Font License or Apache License 2.0). FontKit does not grant any additional rights to those fonts beyond what their licenses permit.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FontKit shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
In any case, FontKit's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or zero if the service was provided free of charge.
Third-party services and links
The service integrates the following third-party services, each governed by its own terms and privacy policy:
- Google Fonts API — for serving font files and metadata;
- Firebase (Google LLC) — for authentication and cloud data storage;
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — for aggregated site usage analytics, activated only with user consent.
FontKit is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services. Use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
Modifications to the service and terms
FontKit reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice.
These Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate notice on the site or via the registered email address. Continued use of the service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Account termination
The user may stop using the service at any time. FontKit reserves the right to suspend or terminate access in the event of a material breach of these terms, unlawful activity, or conduct that is harmful to other users or the service itself.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law and, where applicable, by European Union regulations including the GDPR (Regulation EU 2016/679). Any disputes arising from or related to the use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Italian courts, unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise.
